I’m a former consultant turned Master’s student at the University of Michigan pursuing a Master of Business Administration and Human Computer Interaction with a focus in UX Research & Design. 

My story behind UX.

I've always been curious about how innovation shapes our world. After graduating from Spelman College in 2020, I decided to become a consultant to get a better understanding of how Fortune 500 companies inspire change. Three years later, I can confirm it's not the companies themselves that force societies to change, but the needs of everyday individuals.

While the skillsets I learned as a consultant are readily transferable, I realized that my interest aligned more with understanding the people that solutions are built for. After my first professional UX project, I began taking courses to understand user experience. Finally, after immersing myself in the space, I decided to pursue a Master's degree in HCI to build a solid foundation for a career in UX.

I am not just a designer.

10 Things I Like To Do:

  1. Traveling to places on my bucket list. My last trip was to Greece and hopefully my next trip is to London

  1. Attending baseball games in new cities. It would be so cool to attend a baseball game in every city (and to answer your question, nope I know nothing about baseball but, the games are fun!!!)

  2. Taking Tennis lessons

  3. Volunteering to teach UX to kids

  4. Finding quotes to turn into visual graphics. I love a good quote.

  5. Watching movies (thrillers and romance movie are my go to)

  6. Journaling, its therapeutic!

  7. Somewhere on a balcony drinking chai tea lattes (hot!)

  8. Hanging out with my line sisters. I am a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.

  9. Trying new activities and restaurants in Ann Arbor

  10. Perfumes! Some people travel to France for the Eiffel Tower, I would travel there to learn about perfume making
